Born in Ribatejo, Portugal, Diogo was always passionate about music, but never really committing to an instrument until later in life. The piano eventually found its way into his life and this would eventually become a huge turning point.
Having studied the piano and music theory for a few years, first at a smaller music school and later at the Music Conservatory, he then turned to writing songs, as a way of coping with his creative impulses and exploring his musicality further.
Because he had wanted to be a bi-instrumentalist for a while, Diogo also took up the harp, an instrument he had been passionate about for a long while.
He now composes for both instruments, switching them up as he pleases.
His music draws influences from both classical and contemporary music and his lyrics are inquisitive and full of strong imagery.
His debut album is due to come out next year.
